Happy Friday everyone. Today I am sharing an underwater scene using the Say Cheese Cover Plate Die and the Shell Phone stamp set and coordinating die set from Time For Tea Designs. While this cover plate die was designed to be cheese I decided to use it for the sea! I just love being able to stretch my supplies!
I used Distress Oxides to colour two pieces of white cardstock – Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon for the top portion and Cracked Pistachio for the underneath. I added water droplets to both portions for interest. I used the Say Cheese Cover Plate die to create the holes in the top portion of the card and added foam tape to the underside of it for some dimension.
I stamped, coloured and die cut the fish and other elements from the Shell Phone stamp set. I glued them down to the base making sure they were lined up to peek out of the holes in the die-cut. The small bubbles and little rock are from another stamp set I own but could be easily drawn in. I added some highlights with my white Gelly Roll Pen.
I adhered the top of the card to the underside lining things up carefully and then added some blue sequins to complete the card.
