Shoe-less Princess

Today I am sharing a fall card featuring the Fairytale Clear Stamp Set from Time for Tea Designs. I also used the mouse from the Butterflies Clear Stamp set from Time for Tea. I love the way he is looking up at the princess as she stumbles over a pumpkin.

To create the background I cut a circle from some stamping mask paper using the Circles dies set from My Favorite Things. I then used Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Ink to create the sky. I used a paint brush to flick on some water and white paint to create the splattered look of stars. For the grass I used Moved Lawn Distress Oxide and copics.

I used copics to colour in all of the elements and then fussy cut them out. The pumpkins and leaves are from the Hello Bluebird Fall Friends stamp set. I added some glossy accents to her dress, crown, wand and shoes.

To colour in the moon I followed instructions from Sandy Allnock’s Winter Wonderland class over at I am always amazed at what first looks likes a mess ends up looking great. Her classes always push me out of my colouring comfort zone!

Next, I stamped the sentiment on some Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock and cut it out and adhered it to the front of the card using foam tape. To complete the card I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to colour in some card stock I die cut using the Pierced Traditional Tag STAX from Die-namics. I then stamped the rest of the sentiment in black ink. Finally I heat embossed some of the stars in the Fairytale stamp set using some Alabaster ultra fine embossing powder by Brutus Monroe.
