Spring is a week away! I can’t wait to get back into my garden (I know we have a long way to go until that happens) and start planting again. I love setting up my garden in the spring so that I can enjoy it all summer and fall. I love reading and colouring in ‘my happy place’.
Today I am sharing a happy spring scene with Reading Rosie & Ralph from Time for Tea Designs. The background elements making up the scene are from Lawn Fawn’s ‘bayou backdrop’ and ‘grassy hillside borders’ dies as well as the stamp sets of ‘rub-a-dub-dub’ and ‘toadally awesome’. I love being able to mix and match different sets.
I also love how the line thickness of the Time for Tea Designs digital stamps are thicker (like Lawn Fawn’s stamps) which makes for enjoyable copic colouring!
I finished up the card using a sentiment and flower stamp from Simon Says Stamp‘s ‘Happy Every Day’ stamp set. For the centre of the flowers, I had to pull out a tool I haven’t used in YEARS – my ‘crop a dile’ from we are memory keepers! I even had to watch a few YouTube videos to remember how to use it to secure the eyelets!
I need to use this more than every five years!
